Studio Squared is a series of informal art-making workshops aimed at making a wide range of studio practices accessible to adult audiences. Each workshop focuses on a particular theme and creative process inspired by our exhibitions, and explores methods of creative production through an experiential approach. Inspired by the pioneering Johnson Publishing company and in conjunction with her encore pop-up shop in the atrium of the Studio Museum, Sharifa Rhodes-Pitts of BLACKNUSS: books + other relics is hosting a group of zine makers to discuss their explorations in making independent media. Following this discussion, participants will view samples of zines, hear about the creative process of bringing a zine to life and sketch ideas for their own projects. Sharifa Rhodes-Pitts will be joined by:
